Terms

The ground rules for using this website.

These terms cover your use of crediblebydesign.com, the free tools on it, and the writing we publish. Paid client work runs under its own written agreement, which these terms do not replace.

Effective September 7, 2026

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply to the website at crediblebydesign.com, including the blog, any checklists or tools we publish, and the forms for a free credibility audit, an Earshot scan, or a project inquiry. They also apply to the pages we run on LinkedIn, Substack, and X, to the extent those platforms let us set terms.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the information you share, and it forms part of these terms.

2. Who we are

Credible by Design is a small studio that plans, writes, designs, and builds websites for therapists, healthcare practices, wellness organizations, and other trust-led services. You can reach us at [email protected]. Where these terms say we, us, or our, they mean Credible by Design.

3. Information, not advice

The articles, checklists, and guides on this site are general information for people who run a practice. They are not legal, compliance, tax, financial, or clinical advice, and reading them does not create a client relationship with us.

Where we write about HIPAA, privacy law, or vendor terms, we describe our understanding on the date shown on the page. Laws, prices, and vendor policies change. Confirm anything you plan to rely on with a qualified attorney, compliance professional, or the vendor itself.

We do not guarantee search rankings, AI visibility, inquiry volume, or any business or clinical outcome from following what we publish.

4. Not a clinical service

This site is for the people who run practices, not for people seeking care. We do not provide therapy, medical advice, referrals, or crisis support. If you are in the United States and need urgent help, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.

Please do not send client or patient information through our forms. Our Privacy Policy says more about this.

5. Free tools and requests

The free credibility audit, the Earshot scan, and any published checklist are offered at no charge and at our discretion. Each one reflects publicly available information and our professional judgment on the day we look. It is a snapshot, not a certification.

We may decline or delay a request, for example when a practice is outside the work we do, when our calendar is full, or when a request looks automated. Asking for a free review places no obligation on you or on us.

Earshot is our own monitoring product, offered at useearshot.com. Anything you buy there is governed by the terms shown on that site.

6. Paid work and prices shown on this site

Prices on this site are in US dollars (USD) and describe our standard scopes at the time the page was updated. They can change without notice until a proposal is signed.

Every paid engagement runs under a written proposal or agreement. That document sets the scope, fee, schedule, payment terms, revisions, and who owns what at the end. If anything on this site differs from a signed agreement, the agreement controls.

Our standing practice on ownership and access is described on the How We Work page. The agreement records how it applies to your project.

7. Our content and brand

The text, design, graphics, illustrations, and code that make up this site, along with the Credible by Design name and logo, belong to us or to those who license them to us. Search engines and AI assistants may index and cite our pages with a link to the source.

You are welcome to:

  • read, link to, and share any page;
  • quote a short passage with attribution and a link; and
  • print or save a page for your own reference.

Without our written permission, please do not:

  • republish whole articles, checklists, or pages in any medium;
  • present our checklists, audit questions, or frameworks as your own;
  • use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you or work with you; or
  • copy the site systematically in a way that burdens it.

8. Client work, testimonials, and third-party marks

Case studies, screenshots, and testimonials appear with the client's permission. Client names, logos, and websites belong to those clients. Platform and vendor names mentioned on this site belong to their owners. Naming a vendor is not an endorsement and does not mean we are affiliated with it, unless a page says so.

9. Copyright concerns

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with:

  • the work you believe is infringed;
  • the address of the page on our site;
  • your name and contact details;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; and
  • a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

We review every notice and remove or correct material where that is warranted.

10. Links

We link to other websites, including practice management tools, website platforms, and articles we cite. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

Some links may earn us a referral fee. Where that is the case, we say so on the page where the link appears.

You may link to any page on this site. Please do not frame our pages inside your own, imply a partnership or endorsement we have not agreed to, or link from a site that hosts unlawful content. We may ask you to remove a link, and we expect you to do so promptly.

11. Acceptable use

When you use the site or its forms, do not:

  • submit false information, or another person's information as your own;
  • use forms to send spam, sales pitches, or automated submissions;
  • try to get around rate limits, spam checks, or other protections;
  • probe, scan, or test the site for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
  • upload or transmit malicious code; or
  • collect information about other users.

We may block access, refuse a request, or remove content where we believe these rules have been broken.

12. Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided as they are and as available. We work to keep them accurate and current, but we do not promise that they are complete, error-free, or available at all times. Figures we cite about other companies, including their prices, reflect the date noted on the page.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything published or provided free on it.

Our total liability for claims connected with the website, other than under a signed agreement with you, will not exceed USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

14. Governing law and disputes

If something has gone wrong, email us first. Most problems can be sorted out in a conversation.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New York.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site, our services, or the law change. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about using the website.
