The psychologist websites worth studying answer the questions that come before a first call. What does testing involve? What will an evaluation cost? Where is the psychologist licensed, and what happens after I reach out? The 12 practice websites below each answer one of those questions clearly. Borrow the move, then write it in your own words.

How We Chose These Examples

Credible by Design builds websites for therapy and private healthcare practices. On October 29, 2026, we read 30 practice websites, found through web designers' portfolios and searches by city and specialty. We kept 12 US practices led by psychologists with a PhD or PsyD, in 12 states. Eight are built around one psychologist, four are groups, and eight offer psychological testing. Each does one thing clearly well for someone choosing a psychologist. None appears in our other examples guides or in the examples lists that rank for "psychologist websites," and none is our client. Every lesson below was on the live site that day, and each entry links to the page. We assessed the websites only, as a prospective client would meet them.

How Do Psychologist Websites Explain Testing and Assessment?

Many visitors have never had a psychological evaluation. These four sites say what one involves, how long it takes, and what the client receives at the end.

1. Oregon Autism Evaluations

Oregon Autism Evaluations is a practice in Lake Oswego, Oregon, led by a psychologist with a PsyD who is licensed in Oregon and Washington. It specializes in autism evaluations for adolescents and adults, and it also offers therapy.

What it does well: Its Evaluations page sets out three options: a screening consultation, a comprehensive evaluation, and an evaluation with verbal feedback. Each lists the ages it serves, the appointments involved, and what the client leaves with. The screening says plainly that it makes no official diagnosis. The comprehensive evaluation ends with a detailed written report, and the verbal-feedback option with a letter documenting any diagnoses.

2. Schultz Behavioral Consultants

Schultz Behavioral Consultants is a testing practice in Castle Rock, Colorado, with two clinicians in its menu. Its homepage also announces a new office in Greenwood Village. Its psychologist's profile lists a PhD and a Colorado license. It offers psychological, neuropsychological, autism, learning disorder, and aging evaluations. Its footer credits Empathysites with the website.

What it does well: Its psychological evaluation page walks through the process step by step. The evaluation day takes about three hours in the office. Testing can draw on information from schools, medical providers, and family members. The page says the report is typically ready within three weeks, and the client receives it after a feedback session.

3. Neal Psychological Specialists

Neal Psychological Specialists is a group practice with four offices in Northwest Chicagoland, Illinois. A psychologist with a PsyD founded it in 1989. It offers counseling, psychiatry, and evaluations. Its footer credits Myriad Creative Services.

What it does well: The evaluations page names each stage and how long it takes. There are three one-hour discovery sessions, one testing visit of 1.5 to 2 hours, and up to three one-hour feedback meetings. Its FAQ adds that the first call to diagnostic feedback averages about a month. A section headed "A Report You'll Actually Understand" says its reports are written in plain language.

4. Tucson Neuropsychology Institute

Tucson Neuropsychology Institute is a group practice in Tucson serving southern Arizona. Its seven clinicians each list a PhD or PsyD: clinical neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists, and a postdoctoral resident. It evaluates adults, and children and adolescents with suspected neurodevelopmental disorders. Its footer credits Multitool.

What it does well: Its FAQ runs in the order a patient meets each step, from the referral to evaluation day to what comes after. The answer on planning for evaluation day is practical: rest well, finish the intake paperwork beforehand, and bring your medication list. It says an evaluation typically lasts several hours, with short breaks. The report is usually completed within one to two weeks.

How Do Psychologist Websites Show Evaluation Fees?

Evaluation fees can be hard to picture, and families want a sense of the cost before they call. These three show how their fees work. We describe each approach and leave the numbers on their sites.

5. Blue River Pediatric Neuropsychology

Blue River Pediatric Neuropsychology is a practice in Kansas City, Missouri, led by a psychologist with a PsyD who is licensed in Missouri and Kansas. It evaluates children, teens, and young adults, including those with complex medical histories. Its footer credits Empathysites.

What it does well: Its fees page breaks the evaluation into four steps, from a free 15-minute phone consultation to results and recommendations. Each step shows how long it takes and what it costs. The same page answers "Do You Take Insurance?" and offers a superbill to anyone who wants to request reimbursement.

6. Newsom Psychological

Newsom Psychological is a practice in Austin, Texas, led by a licensed psychologist with a PhD in counseling psychology. It assesses adults and children for autism, ADHD, and learning disorders, and it offers therapy. Its footer credits Brighter Vision.

What it does well: Its Rates & Insurance page lists a fee for each kind of assessment. The full neuropsychological or psychoeducational assessment shows a range. Adult ADHD and adult autism assessments each appear twice, with and without cognitive testing. The page also says the practice is private pay, and it provides a superbill with the billing and diagnosis codes insurers ask for.

7. Calhoun Psychology

Calhoun Psychology is a group practice in Durham, North Carolina, owned by a licensed psychologist with a PhD. Its team page lists six clinicians, including two licensed psychologists. It offers ADHD, psychoeducational, learning disability, gifted, and psychological evaluations, plus therapy.

What it does well: Its ADHD testing page explains two ways to pay for an evaluation. When one of its licensed psychologists completes the evaluation, the practice can provide a superbill to submit to an insurer. Reduced-fee evaluations are completed by doctoral-level interns and postdoctoral clinicians, closely supervised by its licensed psychologists. The page says these are generally not eligible for out-of-network reimbursement.

How Do Psychologist Websites Explain Credentials and Licensure?

A client who meets online needs to know whether a psychologist can see them where they live. These three answer that in plain words, near the start of a page or in the FAQ.

8. Jodi Berman, PhD

Jodi Berman, PhD is a private practice in Westport, Connecticut, offering individual therapy for adults in person and online across the state. Her listed concerns include anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. Its footer's site credit links to Rose Benedict Design.

What it does well: The homepage says she has been a licensed clinical psychologist since 2009. Her FAQ then asks, "Does it matter where I am located for online therapy?" The answer is direct: she is licensed only in Connecticut.

9. Shiri Cohen Psychology

Shiri Cohen Psychology is a couples therapy practice with an office in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. Its homepage leads with "Change-Oriented Couples Therapy," and its focus areas include frequent moves and repair after affairs. Its footer links a design credit to Go Bloom Creative.

What it does well: The line under its opening heading, "In Pennsylvania and via telehealth in Massachusetts," names both states and both formats. The bio lower on the page matches it, naming her as a licensed clinical psychologist in both states. A couple can see where she is licensed and how she meets clients in each state.

10. Dana Tautfest, Psy.D.

Dana Tautfest, Psy.D. is a practice in Birmingham, Michigan, offering psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, couples therapy, and sex therapy. Its homepage says she works with clients across Michigan and Colorado. Its footer credits Strong Roots Web Design.

What it does well: Its About page introduces her as a licensed clinical psychologist in its first heading. A section headed "Serving all PSYPACT states" lists the states by abbreviation. It says she takes part in PSYPACT, and that people in any listed state can work with her through online sessions.

What Happens After You Reach Out?

Writing to a psychologist can feel like a big step, especially when testing is involved. These two say what happens first.

11. Brinkley Psychology

Brinkley Psychology is an assessment practice in Richmond, Virginia, led by a licensed clinical psychologist with a PsyD. It sees toddlers from 15 months, children and teens, and adults. Its services include autism, ADHD and executive functioning, psychoeducational, and early childhood evaluations.

What it does well: Its homepage numbers three first steps: reach out, talk it through, and plan together. Step 1 describes a short call or message about what's going on, with no paperwork and no commitment. In step 2, the practice helps a family decide whether an assessment makes sense. Step 3 says that if another path fits better, the practice will point you toward it.

12. Dhruvi Kakkad, Ph.D.

Dhruvi Kakkad, Ph.D. is a practice offering individual and couples therapy in person in Nashville, Tennessee. Its homepage names Tennessee, New York, and PSYPACT states for online sessions. Its footer credits Empathysites.

What it does well: Its FAQ answers "How do I get started?" in order. A free 15-minute consultation comes first, to see whether the two of you are a good fit. The first couple of meetings are an evaluation of your needs, ending with her initial impressions and recommendations. Then you decide together whether to continue.

How to Use These Examples on Your Own Website

Open your website on a phone and read it as someone choosing a psychologist would. Then run this five-point check:

  1. Testing. Each evaluation you offer has its own page. It says who the evaluation is for, what happens, how long it takes, and what the client receives (examples 1 to 4).
  2. Fees. A visitor can see how evaluation fees work, whether you take insurance, and whether you provide a superbill (5 to 7).
  3. Licensure. Your site names each state where you hold a license, how you meet clients there, and any compact you belong to (8 to 10).
  4. The first step. The page says what happens after someone reaches out, and what that first contact asks of them (11 and 12).
  5. Who you help. Your first lines still say who you see and the problem you help with. Our therapist website examples show that move on 17 practice websites.

If you plan to hire help, our questions to ask a website designer cover ownership, the words, search, approvals, and price.

Questions About Psychologist Websites

What Should a Psychologist Website Include?

In our view, it should answer the questions a new client brings. Who do you help, and can you see me where I live? What does an evaluation involve, and what will it cost? What happens after I reach out? A practice that offers testing needs a page for each kind of evaluation, as entries 1 to 4 show.

Should a Psychologist List Evaluation Fees?

We think so, or at least explain how fees work. Entries 5 to 7 show three ways: a cost for each step, a fee for each type of assessment, and a reduced-fee option. Brinkley Psychology (entry 11) bills evaluations by the hour. Its fees page explains why it has no flat fee and gives typical hours for focused and comprehensive evaluations.

How Should a Psychologist Explain Licensure and PSYPACT?

Name the states where you hold a license, and say how you meet clients in each, as entries 8 and 9 do. PSYPACT is a compact among member states that lets an authorized psychologist offer telehealth to clients in other member states. If you hold that authorization, say so and list the states, as entry 10 does.

Do Psychologists Need a Different Website From Therapists?

The foundations are the same: who you help, where you see clients, what it costs, and what happens first. Testing adds its own questions about steps, timelines, reports, and evaluation fees. Our website design for therapists page shows how we work with therapy practices, and the therapist examples guide covers the shared foundations.

What This List Doesn't Tell You

We checked each site once, on October 29, 2026, and sites change. We read 30 practice websites to choose these 12, so treat them as a sample. They are grouped by lesson, and the numbers are for reference only.

Each entry names one lesson, and a featured site may do many other things well. Degrees and licenses are reported as each site states them; we did not check state board records. We judged what a visitor can see. We have no view of any site's traffic, rankings, or inquiries, and nothing here rates anyone's clinical care.

If something here is out of date, email charles@crediblebydesign.com and we will check it.
